singing songs...

there's still a lot to do for my cd. hopefully we'll be done tracking by august 18th (our 1 year mark, i think) and then mixing, mastering, cd covers (i need to figure out those details still) and yeah...playing shows?
today is one of the first days i recorded something new in a long time. just some vocals, an idea i was thinking about...but i'm out of practice, so i may as well just start taking some audio notes..like melody and lyric ideas. so we'll see what happens.

on sunday we had a musical saw player into the studio and that was fun, and so that should be on two songs. and so mainly we're recording all the left over details.

yay. and i'm working on a pants quilt for my sister.. it's huge, 288 squares or so, so i have a lot to do... i'm using the machine my dad got for me at a garage sale and it's different from our singer, so i feel like i still don't quite have it down, but i'll get there. it's called "new home" so that's pretty cute.

i'm also excited about a rag rug i'm working on. my first braided rug. and i also finished up some socks it took me forever to knit, and i got yarn to make a felted bag because i need a smaller bag than my messenger bag but one i can carry some books in or knitting or my new shiney red water bottle!

i'm hoping to also start sewing more clothes soon. sigh there's just not enough time in the day. i'm thankful to work in the mornings because then i'm up early and when i get home i feel i have to make use of my time, but it doesn't always happen. and i write lists and forget about them and things.


ps: i know i'm Super Late with my 3 on the 4th comics...sigh. i guess i kind of forgot. but maybe i can get to that tomorrow!!! yay!
